Scholarship

You can never know what someone else is going through. When we approach other human beings with compassion, empathy, and understanding – we can make the world a better place!

Each year, two $750 scholarships are available. One scholarship will be awarded to a senior who attends a high school located in Berkeley County, South Carolina. The second scholarship is available to one senior who attends high school in the US.

This scholarship will be awarded to a senior who demonstrates the importance of kindness. Funds may be used to pay for tuition, fees, books, or other costs associated with attendance of a 4-year, 2-year, or trade school education program. It may also be used to supplement newly enlisted military members.

“You don’t need to spend lots of money or throw a big party or shower someone with gifts to make someone feel better. What you really need to do is give them affection, and the best part about affection is that it’s free to give! Whenever I see one of my friends feeling bad or when I see one of my teammates feeling frustrated that they messed up in a race, I make sure to go up to them, tell them all of the good things they did, and get their minds off of the negative things.”
